When you are setting up at the start of the semester the End Date should be the end of the prior semester – this date will be the default date that comes up automatically when you tick on the "End date for students not in XML file" options.

When you are reimporting the XML due to a new student/s having arrived at the school, the student end date will vary depending on whether the students who have left this term will still receive a report. If the student/s don’t need a report, make the end date the day you are importing the XML file (or just before then) and tick the "Withdraw end dated students from classes" option.

If the student/s have left but still need a report, do not tick the "End date for students not in XML file"

If you are not sure if the student/s will need a report, do not tick this option.
